AUSTRIA AT LAST GASP. Ottawa, July 23. The Home Government.'s summary of foreign affairs indicates that Austria is at the last gasp owing to German control.—Aus. X.Z. Cable Assoc. IS HINDENBURG ALIVE! Received July 24, 7.25 p.m. Amsterdam, July 23. Many Hindenburg rumors are current. It is impossible to discover whether he is dead, sick, or disgraced. He has not been mentioned, since the offensive was launched. A Berne message says that Hindenburg is seriously ill, and has taken no part in the military operations of this year. Speaking greatly fatigues him, and he is incapable of writing.—Press Assoc.
