FIRES.

ENGINE SHEDS DESTROYED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Whangarei, Last Night. News was received this morning that the engine sheds belonging to the Railway Department at Opoa were destroyed by fire about two o'clock this morning. An engine was sent forward from here to bring the train south, owing to the Opua engine being damaged, and arrived here at due time. The cause of the fire is unknown, a nd the extent of the damage has not yet ibeen estimated.
