The story of "Convict {>93," which is the headliner at Everybody's Theatre tonight and to-morrow, is rather thrilling, and added to this is the fact that tha film itself is well produced and mounted admirably. The scenes of high life are well done and not overdrawn. The plot itself borders upon melodrama, but it is thrilling all the way. Irene Castla is tiie star, and her part ia that of a convict woman who escapes. She takes advantage of all 'her opportunities, and enters society, where she is courted' by a rich business man. But right at the zenith of her fortune a prison mats meets her, and 'blackmail's her into joining a criminal gang. Prom this incident the action very swift and mora than usually interesting. The conclusion to this swift story is strongly-ap-pealing. Mr. Remr Miller is a basso of merit and one of the most popular members of the company. The comedians include Messrs George Livingstone, Reg. Hawthorne, Andrew Pace, and Courtney Ford, ably assisted by Miss Ivy Davis and Miss Hilda McMurtry. The latter is said to also be a very pleasing dancer, her dancing duet s with Mr. Hawthorne being favorite numbers with an audience- In concerted mnS>c the "Scarlet Troubadours" present selections from "Faust", ''Samson and Delilah," "Trovatore," "Carmen," "Maritana," and other well-known operas.
