At the racecourse on Saturday afternoon High School seniors defeated a town team by 21 points to nil. The score in the "first spell was only three to nil, but towards the end of the game condition told its tale, and the school fifteen triumphed. On Saturday afternoon the Hawera team met Opunake at Opunake. Opunake crossed the line three times. The first two tries were scored by King and converted by Ferguson; the third try was scored by Brophy. The kick at goal failed, and the game ended in favor of Opunake by 13 points to nil.
