I QUARTERLY EHPORT. j Following is tlio report for tke quarter ending June 30: — Loans granted and taken, up during, I the quarter amount to £H6IS> on account of soldiers and £3OO on account iof dependents, representing in the first I instance eight applications, of which four are to assist in farming, two to I acquire furniture, and two to commence in business. With reference to dependents, this represents two. applications,, first a small loan to meet present obli- [ gations in anticipation of future ini come, and the (Second an application; to I pay off mortgage on house and secure I benefits of lower rate of interest. In addition to the above, further loans have been- granted amounting to £2300.' The amounts have not been advanced,] as the securities are not yet completed.. This represents nine applications—four assistance in "farming, three in connection- with acquiring of homes, furniture, etc., and two in connection with business..
