HOCKEY.
AOTEA. V. N.P. HIGH SCHOOL. The Aotea (Stratford) girls proved much too formidable for the "li" team representing the New Plymouth High School, in the contest at Srtatford, on Saturday morning. The weather was good, but the turf was very greasy anil heavy. Hot. R. B. Tlnsley was referee. Although the visitors at no time possessed a winning chance, they are to be commended for the plucky manner in which they stuck to ' their task. The first spell ended in Stratford scoring 4 goals, and this was increased to 10 when play ceased, the scorers for Stratford ■ being. Misses Scott (2), Wells (5), N. Songster- (S).
