_ HANMER SNOWBOUND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Chrjstchurch, Yesterday. The fir3t communication with Hanmer has been secured hy packing twenty miles over snow. The soldiers at Queen Mary Hospital are reduced to condensed milk, but it is understood there are still some tinned meats available. The transport officers are now at Culverden and arranging to pack further supplies to Jlanmcr. News is scant, but there is probably sft of snow at Hanmer, and it will thaw slowly.
