EXCITING SCENES. POLICE CHARGE THE CROWD. Received July 7, 11.50 p.m. London, July 8. Exciting scenes occurred at Waterford, where the crowd attacked the poiicc conveying the Sinn Feiners to prison. The police fixed bayonets and charged the crowd several times, many being injured. Two constables were wounded-—Press Assoc.
FARM HOUSES RAIDED. POLICE SEIZE GUNS AND ARMS. Received July 7, 5.5 p.m. Dublin, .luly 5. A large force of police at Ballinasloe raided the farm houses within a radius of fifty miles and seized hundreds of guns and arms of every description. Many arrests were made.—Reuter.
