HAWERA DEFEATS ELTHAM & STRATFORD An interesting match was played at Hawera yesterday afternoon, between teams representing Hawera and combined Stratford and Eltham, resulting In a win for the home team by 5 points to 4. The game was very even, each Bide scoring two goals In the llrst spell. With a few minutes to go the score was four all, but in the last three mlnute3 awera notched the winning goal. The combined team had hard luck In not equalising tho scores. For tho winners goals were scored by Morrlsey, Simpson, Sage and Gardner (2); for the losers, Smart (2) and Tockcr (2). Messrs. Toting and Sheppard were referees.
