EVERYBODY'S. A SENSATION' IN THE PICTURE WORLD. "POLLY OF. THE CIRCUS." The wonderful merit of the new "Goldwvn" pictures had already reached New 1 Ivmouth. Therefore the big audience at Everybody's last evening was in aom*j measure prepared to view a picture that would prove a distinct advance on any previous feature productions. Even j with this knowledge "Polly of tlie CirI eus" created somothing of a sensation amongst last night's audience, ant! the opinion was universally expressed thai it takes precedence of any motion picture drama previously seen here. The general production and photography are perfect, and there is a "something different" about the whole picture that i lifts it into a class alone, or as one ! patron bappilv expressed it "into the j Geldw.vn class." Whatever the cliarm. ! t' lo picture proved a remarkable success, j and the big family of motion picture enthusiasts will eagerly await 'the announcement of the next "Goldwyn" feature. Oliti'ide of the wonder of the "Goldwyn" production, "Polly of the Circus" seta a high standard in screen photo-plays. It has all the essentials of- a great production. The life of the sawdust ring is seen from within as well as from without. The audience see that beneath the glittering spangles are 1 human souls, susceptible to spiritual and | emotional influences, and that the amusantics of a clown may cover a broken i heart. Humor and pathos are intimatejly blended in this attractive picture. A j good deal of it is pure entertainment. A circus performance presented, artistically and interestingly, but one the drama befins as it does when Polly is carried un- , conscious from the ring to the house of tile young minister it grips firmly, and j hoi 's the audiencj absorbed to the".close. ■ Vbore will be special matinee at 3.15 this j afternoon, at special matinee prices and •the final screening will take place tonight.
