TERRIBLE FAMINE CONDITIONS. Amsterdam, July 1. The Jewish Correspondence Bureau publishes a letter describing the terrible famine conditions in northern, Palestine. The prices of foodstuffs are extortionate, and the people eat the grass growing on graves. Hundreds of orphans are wandering famished and naked. Many people die of hunger in the streets.—Reuter.
