DRIED MILK INDUSTRY.
MEETING AT CAHRIXGTOX BOA®.
A meeting of settlers ivas held at Carrington Koad last night for the purpose of considering the advisability of establishing the dried milk industry. There was a good attendance, and Mr. H. Spence presided Speeches were made by Mr. A. 0. Binnie, who believed there were good prospects ahead of the industry, and hoped that a central factory would 'fce erected in New Zealand capable of dealing with supplies- from 10,000 cows. Mr. Okey, M.3?., and several others spoke, and the following motion was carried:—"That the directors of the Bell Black, Omata, and Frankley Road companies be recommended to convene a eoraibmed meeting in order to fully dis-cuss-the matter." Also, a motion that a representative from each of. the factories iu the area from which it is proposed to draw supplies be invited to , form make the necessary arrangements for a, meeting to be addreasetßiy raeweentatives of the industry in -flia TOp&oto-
