NATIONALISTS' ATTITUDE. London, June 27. Mr- Dillon, addressing the Unit# Irish League in Dublin, 6aid the Nationalists would give the Government no assistance in the recruiting campaign. They desired to defeat Prussianism, but Prussianism must be defeated in Dublin as well as in Berlin. Some memlbers of the Government expected the active support of the Roman Catholic Church a.nd the Irish leaders in recruiting, but they would get neither until they handed over to them the government of their own people and showed the world there was some sincerity in their statements when they talked about fighting for the defence of human liberty.

The Nationalist leaders could not recommend the idea of a separate and independent Ireland, and suggested calling, an All-Ireland Conference in the autum. with the object of devising a scheme of national unity.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc.
