OUR REINFORCEMENTS.
STATEMENT BY DEFENCE MINISTER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ohristchurch, June 23, TJJie rumors in circulation regarding the possibility of the despatch of married men of the Expeditionary Force being postponed owing to the difficulty in respect of shipping were mentioned by a leporter to Sir James Allen. Regarding the rumors, Sir James Allen advised the reporter to burn them. In reply to a question as to whether any modification was contemplated in connection with the" despatch of marriea men to the front, Sir James said that at present there were no proposals 'being considered, and none would be considered until the reduction of the strength of reinforcements being sent had been decided upon. In respect that matter, when the strength was increased it was to operate for five months, and that period had not yet elapsed! The Minister added that the Dominion wa 8 in a good position regarding its reinforcements, owing to the few casualties reported recently.
