TEE NUMBER OF RECRUITS. Received June 15, 1 a.m. London, June 13Mr. Samuel, replying to a question, said that regarding the circumstances of Ireland, 50,000 was a reasonable number of recruits. Colonel Tat* remarked that, on a population basis, 450,000 wonld be nearer the mark. Mr. H. P. Croft: Compare it with Australia.—Press Assoc.
