DRUIDS' INSTALLATION. (From Our Own Correspondent.) .Tunc 13. The half-yearly meeting of the TCI- - Lod?e of Druids \v:i.s held last evening, the local lodge beiiiT well represented. Visitors from kindred lodgers were also present. D. P. liro. Longstaff, Hawora, was the installing officer, and installed the following officers for the ensuing term:—A. D., Bro. J. Kenny, V A. D., Bro. J. Taylor, I. G., Bro. W. Davis; secretary, Bro. M. A. whiteford (re-elected); treasurer, Bro. T< Chalmers (re-elected); A. D. B.'s, Bros. A. Kenny and Cockroft; V. A. D. B.'s, Bros. Onions and Neal. After the transaction of routine business the lodge went into harmony. After the toast of "The King" and the Druids, D. P. Bro. Longßtaff, in responding to the toast of "The Grand Lodge," gave a very interesting .address in lodge matters. Other toasts were: "The Navy and Army," Bros. Blake and Lieut. Rouse: "The Visitors," Bros. Parrott, Maurice (Hawera), Jones (Stratford), Fox (Canterbury), Rudkin (Rangiora), Randall (Oddfellows) and J. Andrews (Foresters); "Eltham Lodge," Bros. Richardson and Kenny; "The Ladies," "The Press" and "The Chairman." Songs, recitations, etc., made the evening pass all too quickly, a really fine programme being presented, the following contributing: Bros. E. Parrot, "Gasometer at Mons," and "Bendigo"; Maurice, "Bonnie Mary of Argvle" and "Dear Old Scotland": J. Neal, "Postponed Rather" and "Farmer Giles"; C. 11. Fox, "Down Where the Swanee River Flows" and "Take Me Back to Blighty"; W. Rudkin, "The Midshipmite"; Bro. Blake, "Somewhere In France"; Bro. Simmons. "Back in Tennessee"; Bro. Randall, "Saturday Night at Bethnel Green," "The Light Brigade," etc. Special mention should be made of the artistic accompaniments of Mr. C. H. Fox at the piano.
