In the Magistrate's Court, Frederick Jones and Robert Whitten were charged with using a shop as a common house, and were fined £25 eacli. A COAL HOISTING MISHAP. Wellington, Last Night. During the discharge of coal from the Poherua, with the grab lifting about a ton, tho hook on the grab, to which tho hoisting chain was attached, snapped, and the grab, full of coal, fell back into the ship. Fortunately no men were working in the hold at the time.
