"NJOTICE is hereby given tliat a Petition was on the 4th d&y of June 14)13 presented to the Supreme Court of New Zealand by the above-named Company to confirm an alienation of the said Company's objects proposed to be effected by a special resolution of the Company passed at a meeting of the Company held on the 19th day of NoVemfber 19W and subsequently confirmed at a meeting of the said Company held on the 4th day of December 1017 and which resolution runs as follows: "Tliat the provisions of the Company's Memorandum of Association with respect to its oibjects be altered to read as follows: The objects for which the, the Oompanw is established are:— l (a) To establish and carry on dairy factories, creameries, cheese and bacon factories, and the business of dairying aid bacon-curing in all its branches. (fb) To acquire, produce, manufacture, buy and sell, maik, butter, cheese, cream, casein preserved milk, glaxo, sogar of milk, rennet, eggs, ponltry, ham, bacon, pork, manures and other products, which can be derived from, produced by, or made, or made out of cattle poultry, or pigs or out of articles which the Company is authorised to acquire, pro'duce, manufacture, buy and sell (c) .To carry on the business of a cooperative store in all its branches, and in particular to buy, sell, manufacture, and deal in goods, stores, seeds, manures, hardware, machinery, plants, consumable articles, motor-cars, motor waggons and motor traction vehicles of all kinds and ail accessories necessary thereto, chattels and effects of all kinds whether ior domestic or farming purposes and to transact any kind of agency business and generally to engage in any business or transaction which may seem to the Company directly or indirectly conducive to the interest or convenience of the Company's members, ticket-holders and their friends or any section thereof. (d) To carry on any other business •which'may seem to the Company capable of being conveniently carried on in conjunction with any of the businesses hereinbefore mentioned or calculated dlreotly or indirectly to benefit the Company or enhance the value of any of its assets and in particular .the business of timber merchants, cabinetmakers, coopers, box and can • manufacturers, bricks, tiles and drain pipe manufacturers, c'oal mine proprietors, wood and coal merchants, refrigerators, preservers of milk butter, cheese, meat and other farm and garden produce of all kinds, and manufactures of casein, glaxo, sugar of milk, rennet and manures and carriers of passengers and goods by sea or land and to construct or acquire one or more railways under "The District Railways Act, '9OS," between all or any of .the Company's premises or between any of such premises and a Government railway and to exercise fill, or, any of the powers of a Company within the meaning of that Act and to construct, maintain, and carry on any tramways, public or private electrical or otherwise under any Act for the tim» being in force authorising, the same. (e) To carry goods and passengers on any railway or tramway in the control or management of the Company under the authority of any Act of Parliament conferring either specific or general authority (f) To supply and use electrical energy for lighting and power purposes and for public and private purposes, and to erect and place mains, telepherage lines, service lines, and distributing lines, either above or below ground and lay down and place pipes, conducts, and service pipes and erect pillars, arches and poles, and make construct and do all other necessary and proper works and things for supplying . electrical energy and providing telepherage ways, subject to any Act for the time being in force authorising the same and to erect and maintain electrical storage batteries (g) To establish and manage farms for the breeding and feeding of live stock of all kinds suitable for the Company's or the shareholders' business. (h) To apply for, take, purchase, or otherwise acquire shares in any Fire, Marine, or Accident Insurance Company and to join with any other person or persons, company or companies in any scheme for mutual insurance against loss by fire or in the formation of any company or association formed with that object (i) To acquire by purchase, lease or otherwise, build, construct, equip, maintain, alter and improve all such freehold or leasehold property, wharves, railways, tramways, horses and other live stock of all kinds, vessels, plant, factories, roadways, workmen's houses, sitores, reservoirs, watercourses, dams, and any factories, machinery, implements, or other property, real and personal, as may be found necessary or desirable to enniblc tlie Company to carry out or give effeot to any of the purposes or objects herein mentioned. (j) To acquire and undertake the whole or any part of the business or assets of any person, firm or body, businesses (principal or subsidiary) which thi s Company is authorised to carry on and as part of the consideration for such acquisition to undertake the whole or any part of the liabilities of such person, firm or body corporate or to acquire an interest in, amalgamate with or enter into any agreement for partnership, sharing profits, co-operation or mutual assistance with any such person, firm or body corporate and to give or accept by way of consideration for any of the acts or things aforesaid any shares, debentures or securities that may be agreed upon and to retain or sell, mortgage or deal with any shares, debentures or securities so received.
