SOUTH TARANAKI WINTER SHOW.

The ninth show will he opened by the Hon. W. D. S. Mac Donald, Minister of Agriculture on Tuesday, July 2. Great interest is being shown, and entries are coming in well. In dairy produce the number will bo easily a record- Another interesting section will be the poultry, in which many good specials are allotted. The North Island Association have allotted championships in Black Orpingtons, Game Bantams, and Rhode Island Reds. A cup, value £3 3s, presented by the Show executive, goes for a points prize for most points in ponltry, for all classes except bantams. The Nov.' Zealand Orpingtons' Cluib give two challenge shields for competition by meuruers of the club. Both are valued at £lO, and arc handsome trophies. They also award four specials of £1 each. Entries for all sections close on Saturday, June 10, at 10 p.m., with the secretary, P.O. box 79, Hawera.
