ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
CAR SMASHED BY TRAIN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, June 3. A troop train leaving Featherston station on Saturday evening crashed into a motor-car driven by Oharles Skipage, of Greytown. The car was smashed completely, and the occupants had a miraculous escape from death. A soldier , David Hamill, of Otago, suffered concussion of the brain, his brother (aged thirteen) was injured in the hip, and the driver had three ribs broken. The fourth occupant otf the car was unhurt beyond scratches.
