Some pons were very prime wether ewes, but ft large number were of medium quality. Prime sheep realised lafo rates, butchers and exporters bidding freely for suitable lines. Inferior were inclined to be a shade firmer. Extra prime wethers, 635: prime. 40s to 4»a; medium, 37s 6d to 395; light unfinished. 28s Gd to 33s 9d; extra prime ewes, 50s 6d; prime, 38s to 40s; medium, 30s to 33s Cd; inferior light, 23s to 28s. Lambs —I7OO were penned. The quality w..s rery fair, and exporters competed freely. Prices were fully equal to late rates. Prime. 30s to 355; medium. 26s 9d to 28b Go; light Inferior, 18s to 255. Pjp,_Thf>Te -was a medium yarding of stores and fats. Competition for the latter was less keen. Prices declined 5s to 10s. Stores were sold at late rates.
