HUNTING.
NORTH TARA.VAKI HOUNDS. Tho North Taranaki Hunt held a meet on Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Sampson's property at Sentry Hill on Thursday afternoon, The weather was fine, and there was a good attendance of members and spectators. The pack was in charge of Mr. E Mason (huntsman), and went off from the homestead shortly before two o'clock, and from then on were kept moving, though they failed to draw. Therj was an abundance of jumping over the country which had been thoroughly sparred, and an enjoyaible afternoon was ."pent. ' On returning to the homestead, the members and visitors were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Sampson. Later. Mr. A. H. Hakoinlio (master) expressed fcho thanks of all to Mr. and Mrs. Sampson for tha use of their grounds for the hunt, and also for their entertainment of tlie visitors. He also thanked the owners of adjoining properties for allowin? hunting over their grounds.
