Major Norton Griffiths drew attention to the memorial presented to Mr Asquith in 11)11, signed by 280 members of the House of' Commons, representing all parties, in favor of the creaition of a permanent Imperial Advisory Council. He suggested the Government should endeavor to give immediate effect to the memorial by taking advantage of the presence of the many overseas statesmen coming to the Imperial Conference, so that the Government could secure the benefit, of their advice on matters affecting the Empire in relation to the war and after the war.
