DOMINION'S PART.
RETURNED SOLDIERS' CONFERENCE. Auckland, May 27. The Returned Soldiers' Association conference opened in the Town Hall this morning. The delegates were warmly welcomed by the Mayor (Mr. Gunson), who mentioned that Auckland had decided to contribute to the regimental funds, and had already forwarded £1227 of the district quota. Major Boxer, in reply, spoke principally on repatriation and the need for providing for a large body of returned men not adapted to settle on the land.
