CONSERVING WHEAT. Washington, May 28. Mr. Hoover has issued a statement to the people of the United States that they must continue to save wheat, at least until next harvest. Until then 72,000,000 bushels are available, of which it is hoped to ship 52,000,000 bushels to the Allies by July 31.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
