PRESSMEN TO VISIT BRITAIN.
FIVE TO BE CHOSEN 1 . By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night The Acting-Prime Minister has r ceived the following from the High Com miesioner: "The Ministry of Information invite a mission of Ave editors or owners of the press of New Zealand to visit Great Britain and the Western front as guests of the Ministry. They .stale that the selection is left entirely in my (our) hands, by which I take it they mean the New Zealand Government. They particularly desire the mission to be composed of men belonging to the highest standing in the J?ew Zealand newspaper profession, and, if practicable, all sections to be represented. The trip in Great Britain and France will occupy a period of four weeks, and it la suggested that they leave nt once. The Ministry will pay all expenses. Please inform me as soon as possible what arrangements are made, and the names of those constituting the mission. "
Sir James Allen communicated with Mr. Selig, president of the Newspaper 'Proprietors' Association, who suggested that the matter should be put before the executive of the association, to which course the Minister agreed. A meeting of the executive is to be summoned for Tuesday next.
