On Friday, 17th inst., at Waiwakaiho, weaner steers, small but of good quality, made £4 0s Gd, others £2 15s, mixed weaners £3, empty heifers £4 17s Gd to £7 7s 6d, store cows £5 2s 6d to £6 17s, forward cows £8 23 to £9, springing cows £lO 10s and £ll, springing heifers (guaranteed dairy ' cows) spring ealvers £9 15b. At Tikorangi on Monday, 20th inst., for Mr. 13. Carrick's clearing sale there was a good attendance. The dairy cows were a nice line and sold np to £2B, the herd averaging £l3 ss. Shorthorn bulls made £l2 10s, miied weanera £3 10s, store cows £4 15s to £B, 20-month incalf heifers (small) £5, farm horses £9 10s to £2l, drill £32, separator £lO, mower £lB, discs £6 10s, d.f. plough £lO 10s. On the same day, at Douglas, lambs made 16s Cd to 17s 4d, culls lis 3d, 2-tooth ewes 28s 3d to 30s, rams 15s 6d, s.m. ewes in lamb 10s Bd, fat and forward ewes 24s ad to 27s 2d, empty 20month heifers £4 2s to £5 Gs, store cows from £3 7s to £5 2s, store and forward cows £6 2s to £8 12s Gd, cows and calves £8 4s, weaner steers £4 ss, 18-month steers £G 8s to £8 2s fia.

On the 23rd inst., at Waitara Road, for Mr. G. Bracegirdle's sale there was (considering the weather) a good attendance. The cows were not a good lot, without calving dates and several showing well backward. The best price was £ls 10s, other cows selling at from £4 5s for very aged cows to £lO 10s for backward sorts, tho herd averaging £3 15s, springing heifers from £9 to £ll 10s, mixed weaners £2 15s, young Jersey bull £4, fat and forward ewes and lambs 245, farm horses £3 and £3 10s, pony £3 10s, drill £25, mower £l9.
