MALE CHOIR CONCERT.

Considerable interest is being taken in the concert season, which opens tonight in the Good Templar Hall, under the auspices of the New Plymouth Male (Uioir. The conductor (Mr. F. W. G. M'Lcod) is said to have his men in good form, and if they are as good as on the previous occasions upon wnich they have appeared in New Plymouth, a musical treat is in store for those who attendThe choir will-have the assistance of Mrs. Colin M'Tjarcn, who made many friends last year when she sang at the Pierrots' patriotic concert; the Rev. Mr. Papakakura, a great favorito here now, and who will sing "Inter Nos" (M'Fadyan), "Thv Words," and "Kiss Me, Beloved" (both 'by Wright). The last two song's are quite new, by a new song writer, and they are being sung for the time in public, and it will be interesting to nott! their Mr. Sturrock will contribute one of his popular pianoforte solos, while Mr. Mfjcod will maike his first appearance on a New Plymouth concert platform as a cornet soloist. The Rev. Mr. Papakakura and Mr. Norman Day will sing "Farewell ti Summer" (Niel Johnson) as a duet, and the choir's quartette party give "The four Jolly Smiths." so that with the choruses a musical treat is promised. The box plan for both to-nigh* anS to' morrow night is opei« »t Collier's.
