SEVEN-REEL FEATURE AT EVERYBODY'S TO-NIGHT. The second of the Triangle seven-reel suporfeaturos is "Because of a Woman," now being serened at Everybody's tonight and to-morrow. The' heroine is Belle Bennett, whose charm and beauty are of rare appeal in the role of the New York Society Girl, whose role it. is to mend the .broken heart of a, badly | treated hero. The story is a fascinating one, commencing with the sacrifice of a young man who works for a mining company whose secrets leak oat Xo save the father of the girl he loves he accepts exile. There he has time to gather his suspicions to a head and the truth dawns upon him just as the,man he knows to he guilty arrives. The final working out of the plot is most ingenious, and there are hosts of surprises before the climax is reached. Belle Bennett is full of mischief and daring as the girl who scandalizes the society folk of the- southern town, and Louelle Maxam is gentle and appealing a3 the wife of the worthless engineer whose wanton trifling causes all the misery. The sets are gorgeous, particularly the cabaret scene, and the dresses of the heroine are something to remember. The plav is a worthy successor to 'The Flame of the Yukon," which was the first of the series. Its screening occupies almost the entire programme and there is not a dull moment.

OLUA PETROVA TO-NTGHT AT THE EMMRM. "MORE TRUTH THAN POETRY." Love-making in motion pictures is a new and difficult art, according to Mahlon Hamilton, leading man for Mme. Petrova in her latest Metro Wonderplay, -'More Truth than Poetry," which will he seen at the Empire Theatre tonight. In this statement Mr. Hamilton talks as an expert, both on the speaking stage and screen. On the speaking stasro he was the original Paul, the hero of Elinor Glyn's "Three Weeks." "There if. the finest, kind of art in love-making for motion pictures," says Mr. Hamilton "On the speaking stage "the hero meets the heroine and says, in a voice filled with emotion: 'I lore you—All, I love von! Will you be mine?" And then tins heroine either presents him with the 'mitten' or accepts him. But in either case she is able to sob or smile and te!! why. "Now, in motion pictures it 1, a different matter When the liei-.j meets the heroine he must let tiie audience know, by his actions, that he loves her and is as-king her to he his bride.: It is the pantomime of love, pure and simple. And the audience, in watching a love scene, is more critical than of anything else, for within the hearts of old folks and young folks lies a lovechord which can be made to vibrate truly only by showing a sweet and pure passion. "Love is the one primitive impulse of youth. It is the personal property of 'teens and past 'teens, and whether a play is spoken or silent, the spectator will resent any fulsifving of a sentiment so dear to the'heart." "More Truth than Poetry" give.-i both Mme. Petrova and Mr. Hamilton manv opportunities of displaying their talent, and the picture comes with a flattering reputation. I
