At Addington market the yarding of fat cattle and fat sheep were' large,°but the offerings in nearly all the other departments were smaller. In the store sheep section the demand was mainly for wethers and forward lambs, the former now being sought after for turnip feeding. There was a limited inquiry for ewes. Fat lambs showed a further falling off, in both numbers and quality, but the market was firm. Prime fat sheep maintained their values, but unfinished and inferior ewes were easier. Fat cattle sold at about late rates, exporters operating more freely. There was a rather better inquiry for store cattle, and dairy cows near'calving sold well. There was a good demand for pigs of all classes.
