N.Z. Cable Assoc. THE ESPIONAGE LAW. ALLEGED FAVORITISM. New York, May 12. Mr. Roosevelt has made a statement that the Government is showing favoritism in the enforcement of the espionage law by suppressing the prosecution of certain magazines and newspapers which were accused of comforting the enemy and obstructing the successful prosecution of the war, and also with not prosecuting Hearst's newspapers, which "opposed our entry into the war and attacked the Alliis.'
