THE GREY SEAT
THE WHIT ISSUED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, May 11. The writ for the Grey seat was issued on Friday, and the election will take place on the 29th. ENROLMENT CLAIMS SHUT OUT. Greyinouth, May 11. There is disappointment to-day in both election camps of the Grey seat in that the registrar of electors did not receive the official telegram notifying that the writ had been issued yesterday until after six o'clock last night. A number of claims for enrolment were thus shut out, as the organisers- relied on the custom of notification being received early in the day and there being notice of the final hour for closing the roll. The official telegram was put in at Wellington at two o'clock yesterday afternoon, and did not reach Greymouth till after six o'clock, and it was nearly seven o'clock before it was in the hands of the registrar.
