SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE.

KAPONGA BRANCH. The Executive Committee of the Kaponga branch of the Second Division League, was held on the 3rd instt., Mr. ,A. H. Guy presiding. The following resolutions were carried unanimously:— (I) That this branch of the Second Division League is not in favor of forcing the Government to concede the 6s per day separation allowance to the wife of a soldier, it being in our opinion unreasonable, but is also of opinion that Is Cd per day for each child is quite right and just. (2) That this branch wishes to express its loyalty to the Government and realises that the first object of all concerned is to win the war, and deplore* tlii—r-nSh of a section of the Second Division reservists at Christehurch, and if its suggestion is carried into effect it will be absolute treachery to the soldiers in camp and at the front, and an indelible Btain on the manhoodremaining in New Zealand.
