AN UNSAVORY CASE.
ALLEGED HOUSE OF ILL FAME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. The hearing of the cases arising out of the raid on tiic alleged house of ill fame at Kelbtirne was commenced at the Magistrate's Court to-day, when five women, were eharg,-d, one with keeping the house and the others with assisting in its management. Inspector Marsack said lhat as coinplaints had been made regarding the house, it had lieen kept under observation and actual acts of immorality had been seen. A largo number of men, principally soldiers and officers oIT ships in harbour bad been seen frequenting I lie hon-e. Afler the evidence of a number of witnesses had been taken, the ease was adjourned until to-morrow. Wellington, Last Night.
The hearing of the case in which five women were charged witli being connected with an alleged bouse of ill-fame in Kelburne was resumed in the Magistrate's Court to-day. Evidence for the prosecution having concluded, counsel for the defence addressed the Court. The
