The Times' Hague correspondent says ! that the new Ukraine Government is*a mere German tool. The Frankfurter Zeitung excuses tyranny, stating that the Central Powers' economic situation is so grave that it justifies the greatest energy in enforcing their requirements.—Times Service. ECONOMIC TREATY WITH ROUMANTA. Amsterdam, May !>. The Austro-German and Roumanian representatives have installed an economic treaty, supplementing the Roumanian peace treaty. All peace treaties between Austria and Germany and Roumania are now ready for Reuter. AUSTRIAN CORN MILL DESTROYED. Amsterdam, May 5. Fire destroyed the largest Austrian corn mill at \Vysotchan. The damage amounts to several million kronen. The cause of the fire is unknown.—Reuter. BULOW TO BE CHANCELLOR. Berne, May 5. The Vorwaerts reports that the committee appointed to discuss the question of post-war tonnage lias been ordered to suspend its sittings till the HamburgAmerika and Nord-Deutscher lines have reached an understanding with the Government. The Vorwaerts protests that this will place Herren Ballin and Huldermann in absolute control of German tonnage after the war.
