THE SECOND DIVISION.
< y ASHBURTON RESOLUTIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ashburton, May 4. Mr. Nosworthy, M.P., addressed a public meeting of Second Division Reservcsts last night, and promised to support the demands for wives, even if he had to vote for a curtailment in other directions. Resolutions were carried unanimously deploring the seditious view expressed at a recent Christchurch meetiug, insisting that the allowances asked for by the league be granted entirely, that the principles on which exemptions have been granted should be reconsidered with a view to making physical fitness the sole test for active service, and that reservists be given three months if possible before entering camp.
