CRISIS IN AUSTRIA. PEACE MOVE WITH ITALY. New York, April 30. The Austrian Emperor is about to make a fresh peace offer to Italy. The Amsterdam correspondent of tlie Chicago News reports that there is an extraordinary crisis in Austria, owing to the publication of the Emperor's letter to -Prince Sixte. One thousand of the Viennese nobility are trying to force the Emperor to abdicate. The Austrian newspapers bitterly condemn Germany's decision to annex Esthonia and Livonia. FIERCE ANTI-GERMANISM. Amsterdam, April 30. The Lokal Anzieger's Vienna correspondent reports that a large demonstration at Laibach was fiercely antiGerman. The Slovoman crowd wrecked a German casino and shops. The military intervened. The demonstrators <!heered the Entente. REDUCED BREAD RATION. Washington, April 30. Officia! dispatches from Berne say that the Reichstag Food Commission is discussing a reduction of the bread ration. The public are warned that the Ukrainian food supply will probably be negligible. "THE FUTURE BELONGS TO GERMANY." Amsterdam, April 30. Writing in the newspaper Der Tag, Colonel Buddick, of the German General Staff; disclaims a peace without victory. Whereas other European countries have passed the climax of their history, Germany is eternally young and newly invigorated and obviously admirably qualified with her kultur to maintain the peace of the world. The future belongs to Germany as the conqueror's prize. HUNGARIAN FRANCHISE TROUBLE. Berne, April 30. A Budapest message states that owing to his inability to reach an agreement regarding franchise reform Dr. Wekerle has declined to form a Cabinet. AUSTRIA FACING SEVERE FAMINE. Received May 1, 5.5 p.m., Washington, April 30. According to official advices from Berne, the Austrian Government is appealing for the conservation of food, as the country is facing the worst famine sicca the war began.
