SEPARATION ALLOWANCES.
DEPUTATION TO MINISTER Off JUSTICE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night, A deputation of the Second Division waited on the Hon. T. M. Wilford to-day, expressing the views regarding the allowances and - exemptions as contained ill resolutions passed yesterday. The speakers expressed their loyalty, and dissociated themselves from the tactics of the resolution against constitutional authority. The Minister, replying, said he Jjftd been impressed by the arguments regarding the exemptions, and would place the matter before Cabinet. Regarding allowances, the country's ability to meet the call had to be considered. Personally, he believed every man should know the rate lie would receive independent q), the Financial Assistance Board. One weakness of the present system lay jn the fact that one woman, not able to present a case ably would not fare as well as another employing an advooite. It was his duty to place before Cabinet the arguments used by the deputation, but he would make no pronouncement.
