The Budget affected the Stock Exchange to a very small extent, except that 4 per cent tax free Avar bonds rose to 101 J, following on the Chancellor of the Exchequer raising the issue price to 101-1, owing to the increased incoms tax. Brewery, distillery, and confectionery shares were practically unaltered. AUSTRALIAN RABBITS. Sydney, April 23. The British Government has contracted for half a million crates of New South Wales rabbits.
