In the House, Mr. Tudor absolutely denied the allegations made by Nash in his evidence at the Bankruptcy Court hearing. Mr. Tudor said no one had presented! jewellery to his wife for the past 20 years. He first met Nash in connection with rowing and football. The following Christmas someone, presumably Naslv, forwarded Mr. Tudor's two daughters a bracelet, watch and chain and a locket, as Christmas presents. • The whole connection with Nash conceived sports, and Customs matters were never mentioned. Mr. Brennan lias given notice to move in the Federal House a motion that conscription applied to Ireland by any authority external to the Irish nation would be subversive of the settled principles of democracy and inconsistent "with the just claims of the Allies on behalf of other small nations. CENSORSHIP QUESTION. Melbourne, April 25. Mr. Hughes, referring to the censorship, said that a great deal of trouble has arisen not because of the regulations but because of the way they were •carried out. He proposed to create a tribunal consisting of a representative each of Labor and the Government, with a chairman. If they did not agree a judge would be appointed to deal with all hard cases of censorship. A lively debate followed, and the Houso adjourned.
