BANNER MATCH. PIHAMA DEFEATS NEW PLYMOUTH. After holding the banner throughout the season and defending it successfully against numerous challengers, the New Plymouth Club lost the trophy an Saturday to a rink from the Piliama Club, who defeated the New Plymouth rink somewhat easily. Early in the game New Plymouth held their, own, but thereafter the Piliama skip drew away and won comfortably bv HO points to 10. The competing rinks were:,' — Piliama; R. Lambie, sen.. F. Julian. W. Lambie, P. Mason (s.) and New Plymouth; Luscombe, Smith, Bary, H Smart (s.).
FITZROY v. WEST END. In anything but good bowling weather, there being more or less rain during the afternoon, a match wass played at West End by the above clubs, Fit?.roy being defeated at three out of four rinks.
