ROWE WINS STRATFORD CHAM PIONSHIP.

Considerable interest was taken in the final for the Stratford Club's single championship, decided on Thursday afternoon. The first bout was between /. S, Rowe and Campbell Jackson, and was a ding-dong contest, each man being alternately in the lead. Both were level with the score at 18, and the next saw ■Jackson lying with four which Rowe reduced to a single, making Jackson 10, Rowe 18. The latter then ran to the points, 21, without Jackson adding to his score. This was easily the best bout of the afternoon. Rowe easily defeated R. MeK. Morrison by 21 to !). also Bickerton by the same margin. Rowe's win was a very popular one. anil at the close of the play he was heartily congratulated on his success, which he fully deserved.
