IN THE AIR.
RAID ON MIDLANDS.
5 KILLED, 15 INJURED.
Received April 14, 5-5 p.m. London, April 13 (2 a.m.). The Press Bureau states that hostile airships crossed the east coast last evening and attacked certain eastern and midland districts. One or two raiders penetrated further inland, where some bombs were dropped.' The raid is progressing.
London, April 13. The Press Bureau later reports that four airships participated in last night's raid. Two penetrated a few miles inland and another reached the Midlands, whilst a fourth nearly reached the northwest coast. The raiders travelled at a great height. No attempt was made to penetrate the defended areas. Most of the bombs were dropped on the open country. Four houses were demolished at one place, otherwse the damage was inconsiderable.
The Press Bureau further reports that fire persons were killed and fifteen injured in last night's raid.
ANOTHER RAID ON. PARIS. Received April 14, 5 5 p.m. Paris, April 13There was another German air raid on the city last night, 11 being killed and 50 wounded.
