ON THE SEA.
THE RUSSIAN FLEET. ARRIVES AT KRONSTADT. Reuter Service. Received April 12, 1,0.30 p.m. London, April 12. The first squadron of the Russian Baltic Fleet, composed of battleships and cruisers, has arrived at Kronstadt from Helsingfors, and the second squadron, comprising torpedoerß and- submarines, is reported to be off Kronstadt. The third squadron, transports, armed merchantmen and obsolete torpedoers lou Helsingfors last night. The total number of vessels which have departed is 200.
PROTECTING TRADE ROUTES. AMERICAN BASE AT THE AZORES. Received April 12, 10 p.m. London, April 11. The Allies have consented to the United Stateß establishing a naval base in the Azores. The United States destroyers and submarines will base there, and it will also be a homing station for aeroplanes. The Portuguese are co-operat-ing cordially at the base, which will protect trade routes to South America as well as to Mexican Gulf ports.'
