RIFLE SHOOTING.
NEW PLYMOUTH RIFLE CLIUB v. BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL, A match was fired between the above teams on Saturday afternoon at the school miniature range. The result was a win for the boys by '22 points, the scores being school club (i"7. The match was fired under Imperial Challenge Shield conditions, viz., (a) distance 20 yards, 10 shots deliberate on a bulls' eye third class target reduced to scale for the distance; (b) distance '2O yards, 10 shops rapid, 9 seconds being allowed for loading, aiming and firing; targets second class, figure reduced to scale for the distance. 'The total points possible in each section were fifl. The visitors were entertained to afternoon tea by the school team. An invitation was given to fire a return )nalc!i on the rilie range, on a date to be fixed, when the New Plymouth Club hope to return the compliment paid them by (lie school.
