Sir, —At the last annual meeting of shareholders of the Maketawa Dairy Company they were asked, for reasons given, to double the company's contribution towards the co3t of agricultural instruction and assured that in future tetter organisation should obtain so that more satisfaction could be given to the fanners that they were getting value for their outlay for information. Sofar no notice of any meeting has been published, though it is said that Mr. R. Ki'patrick had a memo asking him to call a meeting for a given date, but that the notice was so short that he replied advif ng that there was not sufficient time to make the date well known and that a later date should be caosenThe shareholders are "inclined to think they are entitled to more c6nsideratiori and that the powers controlling these matters could surely get notices posted in conspicuous places at the main" factory and the creamery, at least a week before the date of the proposed meeting, or better still, advertise in the News.—l am, etc., TAHI HERENI.
