To the Editor. Sir,—A recent letter from Scotland contained the following question: "How would you like this allowance per week? |lb sugar, Uoz tea, lib meat, this is the latest, butter is unobtainable, and margerine is like gold. Now when ■things are as bad as this, surely the people at home would be better pleased to hear that Sir J. G. Ward and Mr. Massey, were deferring their visit to Britain until after the war; unless of course, they are taking their own nosebagß.—l am, etc., RENOWN.
