Store sheep of all classes were somewhat easier, especially for the poorer lots, of which there was a good proportion oll'ered. Fat lambs also showed a little decline, as export buyers were not operating to am- extent owing to the accumulation of'stock through'the holidays. Fat cattle showed little change, but if anything the market was not quite so firm. Fat sheep were also easier through there being limited competition from importers. There was a 'dull sale for store cattle. Fat pigs sold well, lint there was a limited demand for stores.

Extra prime bullocks fetched £24 10s; prime, £ls to £lO 17s Od; medium £ls 5s to £l7 10s, light £l2 to £l4, prime cows, heifers, £l4 to £lO 12s od. medium £lO 10s to £l2 10s, light £9 to £lO 15s.
Sheep—2sll were penned, including a few pens of extra, heavy wethers, the . balance chiefly of medium quality. Frcziug buyers were operating, but butchers' requirements were small and values were .■■lightly easier. For medium and extra prime wethers 49s Od. prime 39s 'fid to 445, medium 35s to 38c, light to 325, extra heavy ewes to 455, prime 35s - 3Ss Od, medium 29s to 33s t light to 2(1 Lambs —TOO were penned.
