HOLLAND.
"AN ACT OF VIOLENCE." •SErZUBE OF DUTCH SHIPPING. Received April 2, 11.30 p.m. The Hague, April 1. The Dutch Government, in an official statement, describes the seizure of Dutch shipping as an act of violence, which the Government will oppose with all its energy. It has wounded national feelings. The seizure is indefensible from the standpoint of international law. Washington, April 1. Officials are isnrprised at Holland's attitude, and point out that the Dutch have received the fullest and most generous guarantees that their rights will be protected.
