CHARGE OF ARSON.
WOMAN PLEADS GUILTY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A charge of arson against Dora Hughes is being heard in the Magistrate's Court. It is alleged that on March 14 sTie set lire to a house in the occupation of Frank B. Cook, who is said to have answered an advertisement regarding matrimony and went to Masterton-to see accused, but a marriage did not take 'place. Accused came to Wellington and saw Cook, who had married someone else, and made a threat of injury. At different times accused gave Cook money, amounting, he says, to £65, but accused alleges it was £l2O.
Accused pleaded guilty, and was eonr mitted to the Supreme Court for sen' tence.
